Gloria KAIYI is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, & engineer based in New York City originally from Hong Kong. She is known for a diverse range of production styles within the K-Pop, Rap, Hyperpop, Indie & Acoustic genres. Classically trained in viola & piano in China where she grew up, her influences span from electronic, pop, jazz, rap, grunge, to classical; she is keen to incorporate subversive, genre-bending, cinematic sounds in her music, as shown in her solo artist project KAIYI. She has also assisted at various studios in NYC & London including the Cutting Room Studios & Noatune Studios where she honed her engineering skills. KAIYI has produced/mixed “Jet Black,” “Nocturnal,” and “CYDIA” for the NSB (North Star Boys), “Sofia” by Ben Ellis, Eva Westphal’s EP’s, Beautiful Little Life, Proud of Me, & Daybreak, “Give Up” by Dachelle, etc. Her production of “Who This” was performed in the winning round on Rap of China. Recent sessions include: Scott Harris, Sweaterbeats, INJI, Khantrast, bodyimage, Deb Fan, Yoshi T, Araya, Sabrina Song, Rachel Bochner, Mercer Henderson, etc.
